FAQ:
1. Do I have to bring music?
Yes. Printed sheet music is required for all classes . Printed lyric sheets are permitted in vocal pop classes. Digital copies must have a receipt.
2. Do I need an accompanist?
For strings and voice, you need an accompanist. If you don't have anyone, there is a list on our website. If you are in a pop class, a track is permitted (as per the rules in the syllabus)
3. When is my class?
A detailed schedule will be posted on or around October 18, 2026
4. Can I sing with a microphone?
ONLY if you are in pop class. Songs from Musical Theatre, Classical, and Film TV & Video Game classes must be sung without a microphone.
5. How do I know if I have won a scholarship? How do I know I am moving on to Provincials? How do I know if I am performing in THE BIG SHOW or THE POP SHOW?
After the competition, the Festival Committee will let you know by email.
6. Should I volunteer at the festival?
High school students can earn volunteer hours by helping out during festival week or at THE BIG SHOW and THE POP SHOW. It is a great way to help out in the community. Let us know if you are interested!
